Health Visitor (Specialist Community Public Health Nurse)

As a public health nurse, you can make a real difference to children, families and communities. You will play a fundamental role in the development of the Healthy Child Programme in South Gloucestershire promoting child development, preventing social exclusion and deprivation and tackling important public health issues whilst focusing on the child.

Sirona care & health was a successful early implementer site for the National Health Visiting Implementation Plan and is now taking a lead in South Gloucestershire to take forward the health visiting service vision within new Local Authority commissioning arrangements.   Using the latest evidence-base, early intervention within a population focused public health approach is the focus of our service transformation which is now fully under way.

Come and join us.  We have exciting opportunities for health visitors working various hours across South Gloucestershire. We are looking for public health nurses/health visitors with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to progressive practice.  Working within a team you will have a flexible and highly organised approach which supports the delivery of the local public health nursing contract and Healthy Child Programme.   As a skilled public health practitioner you will be working from a person centred, solution focussed approach, promoting wellness and reducing inequalities for children and families.

 

We can offer regular supervision and a full training and development programme including UNICEF training, Promotional Guidance Training and perinatal mental health training.

 

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role

We can offer 22.5 – 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.
