PA to Medical Staffing (Band 4)

Full-time (9am-5pm Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide comprehensive PA support to our Consultants within the Edwin Lobo Centre, Redgrave Gardens, Marsh Farm, Luton.

Duties will include typing clinic letters, reports, diary management, booking appointments, dealing with telephone queries and liaising with colleagues and clients on a day to day basis.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a health or social care environment, have a high level of communication skills, audio typing, with the ability to use your own initiative and have a flexible approach to work.

The successful candidate will have NVQ 3 / RSA III (or equivalent experience) and Medical Secretary experience. The candidate should also have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and SystmOne experience is desirable.

As part of our safe recruitment practice pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed which may include a Disclosure and Barring check and where the position requires you to drive as part of your everyday duties, you will be asked to validate your driving licence online via the DVLA.

Successful applicants to posts at band 6 or above for which a DBS check is required, will be asked to pay for this as a condition of their job offer (£48.43 for an Enhanced Check or £30.43 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from their first month’s salary unless a longer pay back period is agreed with the appointing manager. This will not apply to successful applicants who are registered with the DBS Update Service and in possession of the disclosure certificate, for whom an online status check will be undertaken.
