ICT Security Manager

The Trust has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious ICT security professional to establish a newly defined ICT Security Manager role within the Trust, reporting directly to the Head of IM&T.

The successful applicant will have solid experience working as a technical specialist within an enterprise IT environment, and will have specific qualifications and expertise to ensure IT professionals are working to industry recognised technical security standards. Intrinsic to this will be inter-personal skills to build trusting relationships with technical teams (internal and external, NHS and third party) and to build an appropriate assurance framework with internal senior management colleagues.

You will need to have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive senior team in a very dynamic environment, this coupled with commitment to provide a proactive engagement to overall information security which will include the education of staff across the Trust.

Key areas of focus will include: documenting risk assessments, penetration testing, anti-virus, backups and restoration, access controls, data encryption, network security and disaster recovery planning; with an aim to take forward the implementation of ISO27001 security management standards across the Trust. This will include all appropriate preparatory work for cyber incidents, including tests, drills and cyber-scenario activities.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
