Infrastructure Manager

The Trust currently has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead our ICT Infrastructure Team, supporting delivery of high quality support services, implementation of strategic projects and commitment to professional development for technical staff across the ICT team.

The successful applicant will be a recognised expert in their field and will have suitably broad technical knowledge in order to provide leadership across all areas of ICT Infrastructure service delivery. Intrinsic to this will be inter-personal skills to manage internal technical resources and to build positive relationships with all key stakeholders and third parties. It also requires a customer facing approach, aligned to industry standard service delivery models, to ensure that ICT infrastructure meets all current user needs and is responsive to the evolving demands of the organisation.

Whilst you will of course be expected to ensure that incidents or problems are resolved in accordance with agreed Service Levels, this is certainly not just a role requiring a reaction to problems that arise. Crucially, it is also a proactive role ensuring that the Trust’s ICT Infrastructure operates with sufficient resilience, redundancy and robustness to ensure its smooth running and to minimise downtime. You will hence be advising and working closely with the senior department managers as we move forwards with the Trust IT strategy, including cloud developments.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
