This new position based in the Research and Development (R&D) Office at the University Hospital of Wales is an opportunity to work as part of a team dedicated to providing an excellent support service to the researcher community.

Your role will be to support Senior Management in the R&D Office and Finance Department to ensure compliance with R&D related financial policies and procedures throughout the UHB and to maximise all income flows to the UHB from research activities.

You should have a post graduate business management qualification or relevant experience and be CCAB qualified or working towards this.  You should have significant experience of working in a financial or management position within the NHS. You will require in depth specialist knowledge of financial and accounting procedures relating to R&D, financial aspects of NHS legislation and NHS finance policies.

We are looking for an individual with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team at a strategic level both inside and outside the UHB.

Experience of assisting with the delivery of organisational change is desirable as is an understanding of contractual and intellectual property matters.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
