SYSTEMS MANAGER (Rostering and temporary staffing)

Royal Papworth Hospital is moving to a new, purpose built hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in April 2019. This facility will be one of the most advanced in the world and will offer state of the art facilities for our patients. In order to maximise the potential of our new building we are investing to improve our staff rostering and Temporary Staffing services.

The Trust has used electronic rostering since 2010 and we are now preparing to take its functionality to the next level. The successful candidate will play an important role in the roll out of Safecare Live, working closely with line managers to improve skills and knowledge in the use of the system and our use of metrics and reports to help the organisation deliver safe, effective care to our patient. This is an opportunity to be directly involved with the systems and processes that will support the future success of the Trust.

The role will also support the improved use of our rostering system in the management and development of our temporary staffing service; ensuring a responsive and compliant service which is rewarding for workers and meets the temporary staffing needs of the Trust. The postholder will work closely with the Recruitment and Temporary Staffing Lead to increase the utilisation of our internal temporary staffing service.

The role will have specific responsibility for a small team, and work with the Systems Manager (ESR) in delivering a suite of workforce reports for the Trust. Applicants should have advanced experience of using rostering systems and excellent communication skills. The ability to work with large amounts of data, complete analysis and present complex information in a way best suited to the audience and a broad understanding of ESR, BI reporting will be required.

The role will primarily be based at Royal Papworth House in Huntingdon; there will be an expectation for regular attendance at Royal Papworth Hospital in the delivery of this role.
