Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed in October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.


The Eating Disorders Service at the Brownhill Centre, Cheltenham is recruiting a full time Band 5 Clinician to join their Home Treatment Service.

This service offers intensive home treatment to young people across Gloucestershire, with eating disorders who are deteriorating to a significant degree; in order to prevent their hospitalisation; or alternatively to provide step down care to promote early discharge.

The team work alongside young people and their families, with the aim of empowering parents to optimise the re- feeding of their child, and to re- establish regular eating; in order to keep them/or get them home as soon as possible, and engaged back into family life.

The person required will need to be warm, supportive, enthusiastic, and empathic; whilst demonstrating the ability to hold clear and consistent boundaries, in an environment of potential high expressed emotion and distress.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory trainingand post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place.
