Applications are invitedfor the post of Consultant Breast Radiologist within Abertawe Bro Morgannwg NHS Health Board.You will be based in Neath Port Talbot Hospital, with sessions in Singleton Hospital, Swanseaand Breast Test Wales, in Swansea city centre. There is no on-call committment attached to this appointment.

Youwill join a team of 27 Consultant Radiologists who are responsible for the provision of Radiological services to the West side of the Health Board (Swansea). There are currently2 radiologists with an interest in breast radiology in Swansea.3 further consultants provide breast radiology services to Neath Port Talbot Hospital which serves the population of Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend.

Neath Port Talbot Hospital provides Breast Surgery for the whole of Abertawe Bro Morgannwg. Breast imaging is provided in Singleton and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals. Singleton Hospital also hosts the regional Gynae-oncology service for South West Wales as well as Obstetrics, Neonatology, Oncology, Haematology and Opthalmology.

The Health Board is located in an area with excellent transport links and is within easy access of the M4 motorway. There are many areas of outstanding beauty nearby, to the north is the Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty is on the doorstep. There is an excellent choice of affordable housing within easy travelling times of the hospitals.
