Business Support Administrator - Band 3

Bristol Dementia Partnership is a joint venture between Alzheimer’s Society and Devon Partnership Trust to provide dementia well-being services to the people of Bristol. We are located across three community sites and support the people of Bristol with dementia to live as well as possible, for as long as possible, in their own community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Team Administrator at our Symes Office, in the South area of Bristol. The team administrator is integral to the efficient workings of the team and as such we are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and dedicated to providing excellent support to a multidisciplinary team. The service works with people with Dementia, their carers and the wider community, and the post holder often be the first point of contact with the team. Therefore the post holder will need to have excellent communication skills, to show empathy and be able to work under pressure.

We are looking for a dynamic post holder with computer literacy and word processing skills who is able to work to a high standard independently. The post holder will be required to have an excellent knowledge of IT. The post holder may be supporting the medical team with audio typing using digital dictation equipment and diary management. The post holder will need to meet deadlines, take minutes, and support the colleagues as required.The post holder will also be responsible for the efficient day to day running of the office, including liaising with estates/landlord, ordering and maintaining stationary and will be responsible for petty cash.

We are looking for someone that prioritises their work, and has a will a “can do” attitude, whilst maintaining high standards relating to administrative processes. They will need to be able to work within a team effectively and cross cover as required.

This is a busy and challenging role but is also very rewarding. The role will be working 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
