Are you interested in being part of an established team set up to deliver a Nutrition and Dietetic service to patients as part of Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.


Our aim is to establish a dynamic and responsive Nutrition and Dietetic service in a range of settings across Worcestershire. Due to continued developments we are delighted to offer this opportunity to work as part of the Community Nutrition andDietetic service to provide dietetic expertise and input into the Trust`s established Community Eating Disorder Service for Children and Young People [CEDS-CYP].


The Community Nutrition and Dietetic service is currently a team of 8 dietitians including 3 community paediatric dietitians, a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner and a clinical administrative post. We currently work across all of the Trust`s Service Delivery Units [SDU`s] including Children, Young People [CYP]& Families. The Nutrition and Dietetic service is led by a Clinical Lead Dietitian.


As part of this post you will have the lead responsibility for providing a clinical dietetic service to children who are referred to the CEDS-CYP service .The aim of the CEDS-CYP service is to support and treat young people and their families in the community in order to prevent inpatient admissions .The post will include clinical assessment and overall planning for the young person which will involve weekly cases discussion and referral meetings whilst taking part in multi-disciplinary meetings [MDT`s].


There will also be a requirement to provide some level of cover within the Community Paediatric dietetic service during periods of absence as required and if appropriate.

This post will also involve offering training and support to Worcestershire Health and Care Trust staff and other agencies as required .You will also be required to liaise with discharging hospitals and leads and support the development and review of relevant guidelines and resources.

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
