Full time; 37.5 hours per week
£20,150- £23,363 per annum pro rata

Royal Papworth is the UK’s largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital providing a full range of adult services in cardiology, cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and respiratory medicine. We are the country’s main heart and lung transplantation centre with an international reputation for education, innovation and research excellence.

Applications are invited for the position of Administrator within our ‘Library and Knowledge Service’ at Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridgeshire. The successful applicant will join a small department which provides information services and knowledge resources to meet the needs of all staff working within the Trust in the delivery of optimum patient care.

You join us at an exciting time in our history as we prepare to move into a new purpose built hospital upon the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in April 2019. The successful applicant will transfer with the department from Papworth Everard to Cambridge at the end of April 2019 and will play a key role in shaping the library and knowledge service to meet the needs of a 21st century hospital.

We are looking for a self-confident, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and who requires a minimum level of supervision. Applicants must have experience in delivering excellent customer service and possess strong interpersonal, administrative, organisational and IT skills. Knowledge of health information sources or experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage.
