An Assistant Genetic Technologist post has arisen in this busy, dynamic laboratory. The successful applicant will have some knowledge of Human Genetics, be a team player who is conscientious and looking to expand their knowledge and experience in a Diagnostic Genetics laboratory. Previous laboratory experience is essential and experience with a range of techniques would be beneficial. Good manual dexterity, ability to follow a protocol and clear tidy handwriting are essential. This post will be in the laboratory service delivery team based in the first instance, with the prospect of future rotations.

As part of the Diagnostics Directorate, the laboratory provides specialist services over a wide range of disorders.

Interviews will be held on 18th or 19th March 2019 and will include an assessment of practical skills.
