Cwm Taf University Health Board is looking to recruit a highly talented, enthusiastic, motivated and experienced senior project manager. The role will be based within the Performance and Information Directorate, and work primarily across two discrete areas: firstly IM&T and secondly ICT.

What you will be doing:
The role of the Senior Project Manager is to support, facilitate and monitor the progress of a number of IM&T/ICT complex projects across the Health Board very often working in collaboration with NWIS (NHS Wales Informatics Service), other NHS Wales Health Boards and other key stakeholders.

The post holder will be expected to lead and counsel project boards and staff. As well, he/she will be able to negotiate and motivate at all stages of the project cycle. The post holder will make sound judgement where there may be a perceived conflict of views, based on both experience and comprehensive and complex analysis, thus ensuring successful project delivery.

What we are looking for:
Candidates will be required to have strong communication skills so as to enable effective communication of complex project management issues to a wide range of staff from administrative colleagues, to clinical and executive directors, as well as staff from other NHS organisations and other key stakeholders.

Candidates will be expected to have a broad appreciation of the key elements of IM&T: specifically its role and influence. As well, candidates will have, and be able to evidence, a proven track record of project management of formal medium to large scale projects. Working as part of a wider development team you will be required not only to be a team player but also take personal responsibility for seeing projects through the complete project cycle and beyond.

Candidates will be aware of the "A Digital Informatics Strategy for 2016-2021" and, with the Welsh Government's "Informed Health and Care - A Digital Health and Social Care Strategy for Wales" and working within the once for Wales agenda. Again, candidates will be required to evidence how they work within these key programme areas.

The successful candidate maybe required to travel across sites within the University Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Closing Date: 6th February 2019
