An excellent opportunity has arisen for two forward thinking Technicians to join the Pharmacy Aseptics & Cancer services team. We are looking for self-motivated and adaptable technicians with good communication skills to take on these new and exciting posts.


You will be joining our busy team based in our MHRA licensed aseptic unit at Singleton Hospital. The aseptic unit offers a high quality service to our Health Board patients and provides a wide range of injectable medicines in a ready to use form including cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, CIVAS, parenteral nutrition and clinical trials medicines. Within aseptics you will be responsible for the day to day supervision, coordination and training of aseptics staff. You will also join our team of accredited checking pharmacy technicians undertaking checking activities in the aseptic suite and cleanrooms.


As part of the pharmacy cancer services team your role will involve developing pharmacy services to the chemotherapy outpatient clinics, including the provision of patient counselling, medicines management, drug wastage initiatives and the coordination of aseptic preparation of medicines.


It is essential that you have NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services and / or BTEC or equivalent qualification, ACT qualification and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Candidates should preferably have experience based in aseptic services and/or medicines management.


If you have the ability to work using your own initiative, have good communication skills, a high level of accuracy and are keen to develop your skills this is the job for you!


The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
