King's FM provides the end to end procurement and supply chain functions to the King’s College Hospital Trust.

It works closely with clinical teams to identify future requirements for equipment and consumables and manage their introduction.

King’s also FM provides the facilities for clinical teams across eight interventional areas. This includes the maintenance of the facility, providing and maintaining equipment and providing consumables, implants and devices used during procedures.

The King’s FM procurement function has responsibility for the entire Trust spend of £500million pa.

The Job

As a growing business we need a strong Category Manager to join our expanding Procurement Team.

You will lead and take responsibility for a delegated category or categories having a value of circa £10m to £20m of annual expenditure.

As the main contact to the client you will provide a highly professional and responsive service acting as a true Kings FM ambassador. You will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating and re- negotiating contracts for cost optimisation and to deliver savings targets.

You will take responsibility for the purchase of goods and furthermore you will be required to deliver a portfolio of high value contracts in complex areas and control risk.

You will also need to be degree educated as well as MCIP (or equivalent experience)
