About the building

Time commitment

2-4 hours a week, flexible between 8am-5pm Monday-Sunday

 

Objectives

The objectives are

  • To support service staff in carrying out basic admin roles

  • To improve back-of-house access to support for service users

  • To provide valuable admin experience for volunteers

This volunteering role is a fantastic opportunity to join the 0-19 team as an admin volunteer. The service is primarily responsible for the provision of public health nursing to children, young people and families across the city. This includes health visiting, school nursing, safeguarding support, as well as a range of specialist public health services. Our services support children aged 0 - 18 and their families, and are somewhat diverse, ranging from community nursing, health visiting, school nursing and healthy lifestyle services which include asthma services and immunisations, through to providing high quality care to children with more complex and long term health needs. The Children and Young People's service is primarily responsible for the provision of public health nursing to children, young people and families across the city. This includes health visiting, school nursing, safeguarding support, as well as a range of specialist public health services.

  • Photocopying/printing

 

  • Enveloping letters

 

  • Franking of post

 

  • Opening/date stamping post

 

  • Preparing information packs (red books)

 

  • General administrative tasks
