Job Summary

Integrated Pathology Partnerships ("iPP") operate theSouthwest Pathology Services contract (“SPS”) part of the joint venture betweenYeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Integrated Pathology Partnerships Ltd.

iPP is a fast growing, commercially effective, UK company dedicated to enabling UK healthcare organisations to strengthen the delivery and efficiency of high quality pathology services to patients, partnering with the NHS and numerous private healthcare companies

We are currently looking to expand our team for the SPS contract and seek an enthusiastic individual to manage, supervise and give professional leadership to a team of Biomedical Scientists and support staff performing analyses within the Blood Sciences area of the Hub laboratory and the essential service laboratories (ESL) at Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital.

The post holder will be a UKAS Discipline Expert in their key specialism.

Applications are sought from self-motivated candidates who can offer experience in:

• HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist

• MSc in Haematology or Biomedical Sciences or evidence of equivalent knowledge

• IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma in Haematology or equivalent knowledge

• ILM Level 3 Management Qualification or commitment to work towards.

The successful candidate(s) dependent on experience would operate across either of our Essential Service Laboratories (ESL’s) at Musgrove Park Hospital or Yeovil District Hospital that operate a 24/7 service. The hospital laboratories (ESL’s) operate various shifts patterns to include extended day, night shifts (team or lone working dependent on site) and weekend working. In addition, there may be a requirement to work shifts in our Hub based at Lisieux Way, in Taunton on occasions.
