TheClinical LeadforChildren's& Adults withLearning DisabilitieswithinAneurin Bevan University Health Board will deliverinnovationanddevelop strategic change across Gwent. Thesuccessful applicant will work alongsidethe OperationalManager for Children's and ALD Physiotherapy service, Senior Physiotherapy Manager and Head of Physiotherapy Service.

Theintroduction ofrecent health, social care andeducation legislationwill requiredramatic strategic change in how health services are delivered.The promotion of clinically and cost effective services that are equitablewill be a required element of this role.

The successful applicant will be committed to exceptional clinical practice which ensureschildren and families are at the very centre ofclinical interactions.

The Clinical Lead will need to haveexcellent relationships within wider stakeholders for the service and developkey partnership working in not only secondary but also primary care.

There will be a requirement to work throughout Gwent and beflexibleto the needs of the service. A strong values base around patient focused outcomes and ‘what matters most’ rather than input focused delivery will be required.

You will be responsible for the clinical and professional leadershipof registered and non-registered staff and contribute to the strategic development of physiotherapy services. The focus of this role will be to delivering a high quality service, bringing strongevidence based practice and to contribute to long term service sustainability.

The candidate will have a strong research focus and will be part of anational specialist interest group leading on high standards of clinical practice. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for the overall education, training and supervision modelswithin the Paediatric and ALD service and the person will therefore requirea high degree ofclinical specialist skills but also people skills with the ability to coach and develop staff. This will be built on a foundation of appropriate experience and post graduate qualifications.

Clinical supervision and service pathway design will form a considerable portion of this role and you will contribute toclinical governance and maintain exceptional professional standards.This role will have both a clinical and managerial component. The Clinical Leadwill berequiredto also engage andcontribute tothe overallperformance of the service and will be a key part of the leadership team for both Paediatrics and ALD.

You may be someone who has a particular clinical or education focuswithinthe scope ofPaediatrics or ALD, but you also may have a broader transferable clinical backgroundand leadership skills. Your predominant clinical base will be at Serennu Children's Centre, Newportbut you will support thewhole service throughout Gwent.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
