Are you a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for older adult care?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic band 6 occupational therapist to join our friendly, hardworking teams.

We are offering the opportunity for a static or rotational post within this advert. The static post would be offering a service to the general medical wards at Epsom General Hospital which includes care of the elderly, acute medical unit, HDU, ITU, gastroenterology, cardiology, respiratory, surgical and a private. The rotational post is within, care of the Elderly, gastroenterology/acute medical unit, acute neurology and hand therapy.

You will need to be an effective communicator with both service users and the wider multi-disciplinary team members. You will need to be flexible and timely in your decision making and professional approach and will be required to be open to new ideas and changes.

You need to have willingness to develop both the service and yourself and to help you to do this we offer frequent supervision, regular development reviews and access to band relevant support groups to ensure you feel supported throughout these processes.

You will also have a responsibility to support and develop junior staff, educate students and deliver training sessions to the teams as part of an in-service training programme.

It is essential that you have a current UK driving license to enable home visits to be carried out in a timely manner and that you are open to weekend working as part of a rota system.

Recruitment - Golden Hello

Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in two instalments: - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation. These payments are pro-rata for part- time posts. Payments will be subject to tax and NI National Insurance in the usual way.We don’t operate Golden Hellos for Band 7, Band 8 posts. Or Bank posts.
