Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust has some of the best patient access times in the country and provides excellent services to a rural population of 230,000. Your base would be at the Dorset County Hospital which is an acute hospital with 350 beds, seven main theatres and two day Theatres, located in Dorchester. The hospital provides services for patients with breast, colo-rectal, urological, upper gastro-intestinal, lung, head & neck, skin, endocrine and haematological malignancies. Further developments will also include level 3 transplant patients. The Haematology service is to develop close links with the two other provider services in Dorset – Poole General Hospital and the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals.

This post forms part of a team of 3 substantive Consultant Haematologist’s and is advertised as whole time (10 PA). Any candidate who is unable to work full time will be eligible to apply and if appointed, modification of the job description will be discussed with Consultant colleagues and Service Manager.
