Job Reference: 163-2868E-01-19

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
£23,023 to £29,608

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the friendliest hospitals in the country, with good levels of care and low infection rates.

We provide acute hospital services for around 250,000 people in Barnsley and further afield. We employ around 3,500 staff and our annual turnover is £150 million. Many of our services enjoy a superb reputation. Our maternity service for example attracts mums to be from well outside our catchment area.

As a Trust we are achieving a great deal within our 2014-2019 strategy. Although the number of patients we treat is rising we have maintained and exceeded operational performance, overcome financial challenges and are proud to be rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.

We also celebrated the opening of our new neonatal unit at the end of 2018, re-introduced orthopaedic and urology services and made a successful bid to deliver ophthalmology and a community diabetes service.

All this creates a solid foundation for the future. Our strategy up until 2021 will see us working ever more seamlessly with commissioners and partners to deliver outstanding care for patients.

We hope this future will include you. As an employee of Barnsley Hospital, you will find that we are committed to the fair treatment of our staff, regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age or disability. We actively promote equality of opportunity for all, welcome applications from a wide range of candidates and select interviewees based on their skills, qualifications, and experience.

We welcome applications from people who wish to apply on the basis of a job share or flexible working arrangement, and we offer access to one of the most generous and comprehensive pension schemes.

We hope that you will choose to join us.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test.
