Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a world-renowned Cardiac, Thoracic and Transplant hospital with an excellent track record in developing and delivering specialist services. InApril 2019 the Trust moves into its new premises on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The new state of the art facilities will ensure we continue to provide the best care for our patients as well as strengthening academic links with the University.

Applications are invited for a new full-time substantive NHS Consultant post to join the eleven existing Intervention Consultants at Royal Papworth.

The post holder will help deliver and develop the regional Intervention and Valve services.

This new full time post will join the existing team of 11 consultants to provide care to this large and growing patient population, while supporting education and research as part of Royal Papworth Hospitals’ Tripartite Mission. The appointee will be supported and mentored by the existing consultants. The Job Plan is for 10 PAs with on-call commitment that is currently 1 in 12, and ward commitment of 1 in 8.

Applicants should have a commitment to teaching, research and continuous professional development. Outstanding opportunities exist for research and teaching.

You must possess the MRCP or equivalent, have full GMC registration and have clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Cardiology.
