Associate Specialist in Urology

We are seeking to appoint a full time Associate Specialist in Urology

The successful applicant will be part of the urology services in North Devon which consists of four consultants, two Associate Specialists (one being this post) a core trainee and an FY2 doctor. The department is also supported by three Clinical Nurse Specialists. The job plan is 10 + 2 programmed activities.

Applicants should have full GMC membership and have the relevant clinical experience to undertake independent endoscopy lists and TRUS biopsies.

This post will be based at the North Devon District Hospital, which provides a service to a population of 160,000. The Trust is an integral part of the Peninsula Medical School. The Trust covers the north and parts of East Devon as well as a small portion of North Cornwall.

It extends from the edge of Exmoor in the east to Lundy Island in the west and the Taw Valley in the south providing contrasts of moor land, downs, valleys, rugged cliffs and golden sandy beaches thus providing a range of interests and activities.
