Fixed Term – 12 months

Band 4 Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

£20,150- £23,363 per annum pro rata

Papworth is the UK’s largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital providing a full range of adult services in cardiology, cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and respiratory medicine. We are the country’s main heart and lung transplantation centre with an international reputation for innovation and research excellence.

We are now looking to appoint two efficient and enthusiastic individuals who will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy research office providing data and administration support for two Papworth sponsored studies, within the Research & Development Department. 

Working closely with investigators and research staff across the UK you will be responsible for supporting data collection from medical records and databases and will work as part of a team to maintain and ensure a clean database and assist with invoicing processes .

You will also be required to assist in day to day administrative duties related to research studies conducted at Papworth Hospital; such as routine data entry, organising meetings, both locally and further afield, taking minutes of meetings with internal and external staff, filing and word processing, helping to organise conferences, travel and accommodation arrangements, sending out mail shots, helping to produce newsletters and managing the study websites.

You will have good organisational, computing and keyboard skills, with ideally an administrative background and database experience. You will need to be a methodical worker with an eye for detail and used to working to deadlines.

The hours of this work are envisaged to be Monday – Friday between 8am and 6pm. There is flexibility on the start and finishing times and days worked.
