Sheffield Children’s NHS FT is a specialised Paediatric Hospital and a Centre of Excellence with our services amongst the best in the country. We boast one of the leading Emergency Departments in the country in terms of the quality and timeliness of the care we provide. We became a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) in 2012 and are the only MTC in the South Yorkshire Operational Delivery Network that receives children.


We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Paediatric Nurses with significant Emergency Medicine experience to join our dynamic and forward thinking team. You should have good communication skills with a commitment towards personal and professional development and have a desire to build upon and share your knowledge with colleagues, as well as being a self-motivated, innovative individual who is passionate about Emergency Nursing. You will also share our values and have our ambition to be the best.


Full preceptorship/orientation and support will be given to successful candidates and we have an outstanding Band 6 development programme.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
