Weight Management Practitioner

 

 

 

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work for the One You Ealing Child Weight Management (CWM) service; a tier 2 a weight management service for children (aged 5-13 years) and their parents, including both group and one – to –one session. You will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to translate nutrition, behavior change and physical activity advice to support weight management for groups and individuals within our local diverse communities.

 

 

 

We are looking for an individual with clinical skills and the commitment to reduce rates of childhood obesity whilst increasing the number of children who are a healthy weight in the local area. The post holder will need to have a strong background in sport and physical activity - qualifications and experience are essential, but just as importantly we are looking for someone who is confident in working effectively with groups of parents and children and can motivate them to lead healthier lifestyles; therefore previous experience of working with groups of children will be a key attribute we will look out for. The role will also include building upon local networks/partnerships to meet set targets, promotion of programmes and generating new referrals. You must be able to work flexibly as programmes take place in the evenings and occasional weekend.
