Applications are invited for the above 10 PA non-resident post at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. Applicants must hold their CCT, and will be expected to have completed a year’s Fellowship in paediatric orthopaedics.


The post offers clinical experience in a broad range of acute and elective aspects of paediatric orthopaedics with the exception of malignant bone tumours. A working knowledge will be required of paediatric limb reconstruction surgery, i.e. deformity planning, deformity correction and limb lengthening in various disorders using circular and monolateral fixators, as well as paediatric orthopaedic conditions in general, including flexible nailing, the Ponseti management of clubfeet, the management of disorders of the hip, neuromuscular disorders with gait analysis, and management and rodding in OI. Research will be actively encouraged.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
