We are looking to recruit a highly motivated trainee to join the Guys and StThomas’ NHS trust renal technical team. The team is based at Guys Hospital, with over 800 patients being treated in our clinics around the south east of London and at home across Kent.

The successful candidate will have a suitable qualification in electronics or Clinical Technology (with renal). Experience of working with medical devices and a good practical engineering knowledge would be advantageous. The successful applicant will be enrolled on the Association of Renal Technologist's (ART) Training scheme with the expected outcome that they will become a registered Clinical Technologist (with renal). Full manufacturers training courses and in-house tuition will complete the training portfolio. The successful candidate will learn to perform a wide range of duties over many sites and a high degree of individual responsibility is expected. The successful applicant will have 3 years to complete the training.

Salary for a 3 year band 6 annex 21 are

1st year - £23,818.60 + £4,330.95 HCA

2nd year- £30,314.90 + £4,664.10 HCA

3rd year- £32,480.25+ £4,997.25 HCA

A full UK driving license is essential
