We’re extending our fantastic team of supportive and compassionate nurses in Orthopaedics and welcome your application to join our team.

We have two Orthopaedic wards here at Harrogate Hospital, Wensleydale Ward focuses on elective surgery and Farndale Ward treats emergency and trauma. The Orthopaedics team have achieved some great results recently with surgical areas having been rated as ‘Outstanding’ in our recent CQC assessment.They also have lower rates of readmission to the hospital than the England average.

Starting off as a student nurse at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, Jenny felt so supported, challenged and developed that her nursing career evolved throughout many disciplines at the Trust, leading her into the rewarding position of Matron in the Orthopaedic wards. “I never felt that my career progression was limited in any way at HDFT” enthuses Jenny. “I would encourage anyone to join us!”
