Hours: full and part time
Salary: £24,214 to £30,112 pa pro rata

Essential Requirements: Registered with HCPC

We have 3 posts and are looking for enthusiastic Physiotherapists to work within and actively contribute to the multi-disciplinary teams, to support the therapy team with the rehabilitation of patients. The posts are:

One permanent Rotational (37.5hrs) where the post holder will rotate at six monthly intervals in order to get essential experience in the following core areas:

•             Orthopaedics includes elective surgery, trauma, day surgery and pre-surgery education group
Surgical includes ITU/HDU and general surgical wards
             Rehabilitation includes, medical wards, amputee 
& stroke rehabilitation
Medical Elderly includes ITU/HDU & Acute Medical Unit
Musculo-skeletal Out-patients
Community Care Teams – one of the 4 locality based teams
             Acute stroke & Neurology

We also have a permanent 33hr post in the Respiratory Team working in ITU/HDU & Acute Medical Unit.

Then we have a fixed term (37.5) post from Jan to Sept 2020 working on the Frailty unit and the stroke /Neurology Rehabilitation ward

All posts requires a Physiotherapist to carry an agreed clinical caseload as part of specialty based team providing Physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment, advice and education to patients within that service.

You should be up to date with current practice and keen to develop your skills further understanding the importance of CPD and self-development. In-service training, supervision and peer review is actively encouraged.

Good communication skills together with IT and keyboard skills, and clinical expertise are essential requirements, you should have the ability to use your initiative and also work within a team environment.

The post holder may be required to work the hours flexibly each week and provide on-call and ‘out of hours’ and seven day working as required, to meet service needs at weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
