Solent NHS Trust are looking for a compassionate, forward thinking nurses to join one of our Community Nursing teams working in Southampton!

You will be working as part of a motivated, friendly and caring team who deliver exceptionally high quality healthcare, which is in partnership with our primary care colleagues and specialist community services. We all work together to provide the best care and keep our patients at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking passionate nurses to provide complex care and treatment to both adults and older people living at home who have long-term or complex health needs. You will work alongside a number of specialist community services including Palliative Care, Proactive Nursing Services, Bladder and Bowel, Respiratory, Diabetes as well maintaining established pivotal relationships with our primary care colleagues.

We are recruiting for multiple localities within Southampton, which are based at the following locations:

  • East Locality, Bitterne Health Centre
  • Central Locality, Royal South Hants Hospital
  • West Locality, Western Community Hospital

We believe in development of our staff, so we ensure that you are fully supported with on the job learning and training programme which will enhance your clinical and leadership skills.

Also, with a competency based approach to clinical training and development, our teams ensure you are able to apply your skills in a safe and effective way with support of the management and clinical practice educators in the service.

The shift patterns are as below:

  • Core: 08:30 – 16:30
  • Mid Shift – 10:00-18:00 (average 4 per month)
  • Twilight – 14:00-22:00 (averagely 4 per month)
  • Weekend working is 1 in 4.

Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving licence is essential.
