Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and dynamic Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team.

You will demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills working within a large ward based multidisciplinary team carrying out functional assessments and interventions to facilitate safe and effective discharge planning for our inpatient ward at St Luke’s Community Hospital in Market Harborough.

You will join the MDT including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Generic Workers all supporting patients to return home having undertaken a short period of medical optimisation and reablement.

A desire and commitment for providing effective care of older people (i.e. falls, medicine, neurology and orthopaedics) and those with complex needs is essential.

We are a forward thinking pro-active team that is committed to the provision of evidence-based practice and personal and professional development. This post would be suitable for a newly graduated Physiotherapist

You will receive regular supervision, appraisal and be encouraged to be involved in service development, audit and research. There will be opportunity to support and supervise other staff as well as provide support to students. There may also be the possibility of gaining experiences in other specialities / services.
