The Role:

We have long term placement opportunities available for Band 3 Radiography Assistants available at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust specifically providing the following:

  • Ensure patients are appropriately prepared for their examination. This may include assisting with undressing and pre-intervention safety checks.
  • Escorting and manual handling of patients
  • Act as chaperone for intimate examinations.
  • Assist medical staff with minor sterile procedures if required e.g., biopsies by laying out sterile equipment, assisting during and after the procedure.
  • Monitoring and care of patients post examination.
  • To ensure patients are appropriately prioritised for their examinations by liaising with reception, Nurses, and radiographic staff.
  • Assist with intravenous cannulation

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Have Soliton Radiology system knowledge
  • Have good communication skills to liaise with the clinical lead/Radiologists to ensure lists run smoothly and efficiently
  • Be able to participate in service audit as required
