MPFT has a vacancy for a Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine covering our clinics in Telford and Stoke-on-Trent.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with strong leadership and management skills to play a major part in delivering a high quality, innovative, integrated sexual health model of care for the population served by the Telford and Stoke-on-Trent Sexual Health services.

The post is10 Programmed Activities per week and is based at Bishton Court, Ironmasters Way, in Telford and Cobridge Sexual Health Centre, Church Terrace, in Stoke-on-Trent.

Responsibilities would include continued delivery and further development of the services, guideline development, research, audit and quality improvement projects, contribution to an active educational programme as well as supporting and mentoring junior doctors and nurses. A strong clinical network is in place to ensure that sub-specialty interests and skills are maintained.

The consultant will join an enthusiastic and friendly team with 12 consultants working in Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire and Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (excluding this post), associate specialist and specialty doctors. The hubs are ably supported by integrated sexual health nurses, CNS HIV, HIV Specialist Pharmacist, HCA team and administrative support.

There is a daily on-call rota to provide support and telephone advice across the areas.

Working with our friendly consultant team, the role offers scheduling flexibility and a nationally recognised commitment to training and education.

MPFT will offer an additional 10% 'welcome to MPFT bonus', 5% on joining us and 5% after a period of 12 months service.
