An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust’s multi-award winning Finance department. The Role:

Assistant CSU Accountant


The purpose of the role is to support the team in the delivery of a financial management service to Clinical Service Units (CSU) as directed by the Assistant Director of Finance or the Finance Business Partner by:


• Supporting the Senior CSU Accountant and/or the Finance Business Partner in providing financial support and advice to managers and clinicians in a number of business units.

• Participating in the induction and ongoing training and development of finance officers, playing a key role in ensuring core standards are met.

• Leading process improvement projects and developing procedures to ensure that work across the team is completed in a consistent way and to an agreed standard, thereafter providing assurance of compliance.

• Coordinating of specific ad hoc and regular cross team tasks

The Trust will administer the check on your behalf & will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service & pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
