Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)- Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic Cancer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced nurse to lead our team caring for adult patients with hepato-biliary and pancreatic (HPB) cancers.

 

The post holder will be expected to provide a seamless service, counselling, supporting and managing patients with hepato-biliary and pancreatic (HPB) cancers at SJUH. You will be required to manage a team of clinical nurse specialists and work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. We are seeking a confident, self-motivated outgoing person who can work independently. We need someone who is passionate about the care they give to their patients and the support they provide to their team and the service. You will need to have excellent leadership skills and be familiar with service development and change management. Significant experience and knowledge in caring for patients with HPB / Pancreatic cancers and a willingness to participate in professional development and develop nurse led services are highly desirable. You will liaise with health care professionals across the region both within the hospital and community setting. You will need to be a confident and outgoing person with excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate that you are highly motivated.

 

Training and education will be provided to develop and build on their existing knowledge base.
