Facilities Technician - Primary role is Housekeeping: (ward cleaning/catering for patients)

Vacancies available are: Monday to Friday

  • POST TYPE ONE: 2pm - 10pm
  • POST TYPE TWO: 1pm - 7:30pm
  • POST TYPE THREE: 3pm or 4pm - 7pm
  • POST TYPE FOUR: 12pm - 6:30pm

 

We currently have permanent vacancies, for Facilities Technicians to primarily work as Ward Housekeepers’ on Wards, department areas or public spaces. The successful candidates will be required to work at St James Hospital or Leeds General Infirmary. Join us and become a hospital hero!!

 

Duties will include:

Providing both cleaning and catering service.

  • Ensuring the environment is cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Catering duties involve a caring, person centered approach to meal & beverage service to patients.

There will be an expectation to complete ad-hoc duties when required.

The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, good team players and able to work on their own initiative and be able to demonstrate the Leeds Way values, these being:-

Full Training and a uniform will be provided.

You may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the check on your behalf & will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service & pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
