The Chief Nurse CSU is a busy team with varied workstreams. We support the delivery of the Chief Nurse Strategy throughout Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

An opportunity has arisen for one Departmental Secretary within the Chief Nurse CSU at St James’s University Hospital. The role ia vital to support International Nurse recruitment, Education and Training, and the provision of outstanding patient care at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

We are looking for positive, highly motivated, flexible, and hardworking individuals to provide a professional and comprehensive secretarial and Admin service to our teams here at St James Hospital.

Applicants will require previous experience in secretarial /administrative processes and practices. Applicants must also possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as be part of a team.

These roles are both demanding and interesting, you will be joining a team of friendly and well-established Administrative Staff. Duties will include, organising appointments, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, and processing correspondence, along with finance support for your team. You will also need to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines. Please refer to the job description for full details.

You will need to be highly proactive and will use your initiative and judgement to manage your own workload. You will have a keen sense of professionalism and experience of working in a fast-paced office environment

You may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the check on your behalf & will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service & pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
