What you’ll be responsible for

  • To ensure the Trust obtains the best possible value for money in the procurement and/or delivery of goods and services through the use of benchmarking tools, such as the Procurement Index and benchmarking tool, PPIB.
  • Fully understand the trusts eProcurement platform, providing first class support to end users and obtain quotes and process orders in an efficient manner.
  • Contribute to the e-procurement training program and supporting material including frequently asked questions to assist end users in using systems and processes.
  • Ensure frequently placed orders are considered for cataloguing through appropriate protocols.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above. 

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the Trust

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook required
  • Other systems used but full training provided include Integra, Microsoft Excel, NHS Supply Chain Online Portal, SharePoint, MS Teams
  • NVQ3 in administration and / or equivalent transferrable skills
  • Understand and have the ability to navigate and utilise E-procurement systems (desirable)
