Job Detail:- Permanent Band 2, Tuesday to Friday (30 hours) 9am - 5pm. Based in central Cannock, with the need to work from our Stafford office, at St George’s Hospital as required. There is ample parking at each location.

We are interested to hear from applicants who are computer literature and confident communicators, keen to work in a very busy admin team who provide reception and administration services to the secondary Mental Health Teams within the West of South Staffs.

What are we looking for?

  • A person who is flexible, resilient and conscientious
  • Is a confident communicator, with strong customer service skills
  • A person who has good grammar and written skills
  • Honesty, integrity and commitment
  • Computer literate, with experience of clinical systems (or similar)
  • An enthusiasm to provide a high quality admin service
  • Ideally you would hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification/experience.

What will the role entail?

  • General administration including producing letters
  • Large number of telephone enquiries from health professionals and from patients/families often of a challenging or sensitive nature
  • Reception duties, meeting and greeting visitors etc
  • Working as part of a very busy admin hub team

Many of our Admin Assistants have successfully secured Band 3 posts within our Service, and we are able to offer training such as NVQs in Business Admin for example.
