We can offer you a unique opportunity to come and join our rapidly growing dietetic and nutrition team on the picturesque Isle of Wight.

Our Band 5 position gives you the chance to develop your dietetic skills across a broad range of medical and surgical conditions, working in both the acute and community setting. This is an excellent foundation to launch your dietetic career!

We are looking for a newly qualified, enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian with good communication skills who is committed to providing patient-centred care to join our team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

We provide a dietetic service across acute, community and mental health sectors. This gives you an excellent platform for which to establish and develop your skills across all areas of dietetics, offering many opportunities for growth and development

You will be responsible for providing a dietetic service to our admissions unit, medical, orthopedic and stroke wards. We would provide opportunities to develop your skills in other areas such as parenteral nutrition, surgery and neurology. You will work across acute and outpatient settings, holding a weekly clinic providing advice to a range of patient groups including gastrointestinal and respiratory along with providing care home nutrition support.

Education is important to us and you will be required to provide nutritional training to acute and community staff, alongside patient education groups. We would value your input in training of student dietitians, student nurses and other AHP during their clinical placements.

We are committed to your professional development; we are in an excellent position to hold an educational fund and be able to fully support you in gaining access to the necessary fully funded training. As a team we hold monthly departmental clinical professional development sessions and you will have an annual appraisal.
