Advanced Clinical Pharmacist (Clinical Systems)

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop clinical leadership skills in the digital health arena?

We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist with excellent clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills and an interest in digital transformation to join the MMPS Digital team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

The work in pharmacy is becoming ever more reliant on digital systems to drive improvements in patient care and safety. At LTHT we have a range of clinical systems that are integral to the delivery of safe patient care within pharmacy services. The primary focus of this post will be to utilise their clinical experience and knowledge to lead digital projects, quality improvement and support change in relation to the chemotherapy prescribing system, Chemocare. The successful candidate will gain sufficient knowledge of the other major system including electronic inpatient prescribing system to allow for cross cover during periods of absence.

You will need to be able to identify opportunities for improvement and have the determination to see them through to deliver change. The ability to work in close collaboration with colleagues from across the multidisciplinary team will be essential. You will be supported by an experienced team of specialist pharmacy staff and be joining a large and highly regarded Pharmacy Department that is working to transform clinical pharmacy services as part of an ambitious programme.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the country’s largest acute Trusts. We care for nearly two million patients a year, employ 15,000 staff to provide general services to the 770,000 population of the Leeds district and specialist services across the North of England.

Post holders will be expected to contribute to the department’s late-night, weekend and Bank Holiday rota. Applications are welcome from those wishing to work full or part-time hours.
