Band 6 Clinical Pharmacist

Are you interested in working as a hospital pharmacist? Would you want to learn more about mental health pharmacy in particular and be supported by an experienced team to develop your clinical skills in this area? If the answer is yes, then this role within our mental health and learning disability NHS Trust is perfect for you!

The role offers the ideal job opportunity for both newly qualified pharmacists and for those with existing experience to develop within this area of specialty. It will also provide the opportunity to develop into a Band 7 specialist pharmacist in mental health for those looking to further their career within a supportive, nurturing Pharmacy Team. We do this by providing access to and supporting you through post graduate qualifications in psychiatric pharmacy over a 2-year programme.

The post-holder will deliver a medicines optimisation service to inpatient services and ensure patient’s get the best from their medicines. They will support other healthcare professionals to be well informed and skilled to be able to manage the use of medicines correctly, safely and cost effectively.

You will become a member of ward multidisciplinary teams in order to deliver a high-quality medicines optimisation and management service in line with departmental and Trust objectives.

You will be a core team member in an expanding Pharmacy Team that is highly regarded within the organisation.
