At the end of 2021 Inclusion and MPFT was approved by the NHS England National Mental Health team to establish the first NHS Gambling Harms Clinic in the West Midlands based in Stoke-on-Trent. The aim is to establish this unit as soon as possible.

This clinic once established will broadly service the populations of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and bordering areas. There is also an intent to establish a satellite clinic in Telford and Wrekin. The clinic will be providing face to face and virtual therapies and interventions to those experiencing a gambling use disorder. The team once established will include psychology, psychiatry, CBT therapist and RMNs.

The primary purpose of this role will be to provide high quality, specialist CBT therapy services to people experiencing gambling harm with complex presentations. The West Midlands NHS Gambling Harms Clinic will be based primarily in Stoke-on-Trent with outreach to Telford. The post holder will participate in the development of a high quality, responsive and accessible service, delivering valued outcomes for clients and their families and carers. This includes the development of new and / or specialist psychological interventions for people experiencing gambling harm and additional needs which may require multiagency and indirect work.   • MPFT will offer an additional £4,000 'welcome to MPFT bonus', 50% on joining us and 50% after a period of 12 months service. Individual learning fund.
