We are looking for a full time team administrator to join our communications and engagement team as maternity cover until June 2023. This is a fixed term contract to specifically focus on providing administration support. You will have the opportunity to liaise and work closely with staff from across the organisation, partner organisations, patients and members of the public in supporting the team to carry out communications and engagement activities. This is a key role in communications and engagement within a strong and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new skills and experience. The main functions of the role are to: monitor and administer the communications inbox, arrange and support meetings and room bookings, take action and meeting notes, support the collation of feedback to assist outcome reports, assist the team in the delivery of communications and engagement objectives.

In order to be successful in this position, you will need to haveNVQ Level 3 or equivalent level knowledge of office procedures and software programmes. We are looking for someone with experience of administration, supporting a team and someone who has worked within a customer focused environment. You will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office and Teams. You will need good communication skills. Knowledge of the NHS and communications and engagement duties are preferable, however this is not essential as a full induction programme with ongoing training and support will be provided.

This position will be based at Vespasian House in Dorchester although a flexible working policy is in place to enable home working to be part of a hybrid home / workplace working pattern. There is a requirement to travel to attend meetings and support communications and engagement activity. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working patterns are available, and we are willing to consider applications for part time hours. The team is responsible for ensuring the organisation meets its statutory public involvement duties. This includes all forms of communication, digital media, social media, public engagement, and partnership working.
