We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join our People (HR) team. This role is a based in our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ), with a hybrid working model. We are also offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located around Harley Street. We have approx. 1300 employees across 8 sites, where wecover a broad range of specialisms, including complex medical and surgical procedures and a comprehensive range of cancer and outpatient services.

 

Job Profile

The People Advisor will provide a proactive and professional People (HR) customer service to managers and staff in person, via email or other written correspondence or over the phone or MS Teams video calls. They will also provide generalist People advice and guidance to managers, employees and bank workers – queries related but not limited to employment contracts, annual leave, policies, and pay.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary:Up to £40,000 per annum
  • Location:1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Baker Street and Regents Park stations) – this role will offer a hybrid working approach.

Key Duties

  • To work flexibly within the People team, assisting with phone enquiries, general filing and typing of correspondence.
  • To support People Administrators as initial point of escalation with more complex queries.
  • To be involved with projects on change management, EDI, wellbeing, data and compliance, and the reviewing, updating, and drafting People related policies.
  • Handle requests effectively with professional advice and assistance.
  • To provide mutual support to other staff in the team for project work as required.
  • To maintain confidentiality of staff records and information received at all times, in accordance with People Team procedures and the Clinic’s data protection policies and GDPR.
  • To undertake all other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Strategic People Partner in line with the level of the post.

 

Skills &Experience

  • Working within a similar capacity in an HR/ People team
  • Proven advisory experience of working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Experience of using HR systems (in particular iTrent) is desirable
