The NHS Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (NWCCG) is a clinically-led NHS organisation, responsible for commissioning (planning and purchasing) integrated health and social care for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.

Our main offices are based at Lakeside 400, Broadland Business Park, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich, however we have a local office for the East of the region based in Beccles and another in the West of the region based in King’s Lynn, therefore travel across the Norfolk and Waveney footprint as well as out of county is required according to where the providers are situated.

Following the creation of our Integrated Care System, we have an exciting opportunity for the right person to lead our primary care workforce transformation team, which is an integral part of our People directorate.

 

You will understand the challenges facing primary care and the development of our 17 primary care networks across a largely rural area, with some areas of significant deprivation. You will be able to lead your team to develop innovative ways of addressing some of these challenges through partnership working and engagement with general practice and teams working at Place level.

 

Working closely with NHS England and Health Education England, you will lead the delivery of our Training Hub contract following our successful bid, providing assurance against our key performance indicators during regular contract meetings and internally to our primary care commissioning committee.

 

Ideally you will have experience and an understanding of training and workforce transformation, working with primary care and leading strategic change across multiple partner organisations. You will also be emotionally intelligent, able to build and manage relationships and support the development of an inclusive culture within your team and across partners. You will be organised and able to inspire confidence in your team, with partners and regulators.

Hybrid Working

The CCG operates a flexible approach to working. It is expected that our staff will work from a combination of home and office (where possible). For staff designated in a hybrid role they should have a safe and suitable place to work with Broadband access and space for a desk, chair and monitors. At interview a discussion will take place between the recruiting manager and the candidate to ensure they are clear on what is expected.
