OpCourage Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Services in the East Midlands consists of Transisition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) and High Intensity Service (HIS).
We are looking for an experienced substance misuse nurse to work in our High Intensity Service. This is a new post following recent investment in to the service. As such the post holder will be expected to support the development of this role. You will be part of a small but dynamic team working on an assertive outreach based model.

You will:
Provide first line therapeutic interventions specific to substance misuse clients within the HIS team, but also work with other clients in the service outside of the substance misuse role.
Liaise with specialist providers across the region to support the veterans treatment pathway, and develop pathways with these providers
Offer relapse prevention work
Working hours Mon - Fri, 9-5 although some flexibility required on hours according to clinical need
This post covers the whole of the East Midlands and the service uses a combination of face to face, digital and telephone contact to ensure safe and effective delivery of care to the veterans we work with.

The post holder will receive both management and clinical supervision with clinical supervision to the substance misuse role. All staff in the East Midlands HIS team complete the Military Human training and other training will be offered as appropriate.
