Your expertise will never have a greater impact.

Be something special. Be NHSBT.

At NHS Blood & Transplant (NHSBT), we rely on the generosity of our incredible donors to make our life-transforming work possible. It’s a team effort in which frontline staff work closely with donors and their families to secure blood, tissue and organs – and that work will only be enhanced by your brilliant analytical expertise. Helping us drive efficiency, improve our donor registration conversion rates and identify new opportunities, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring even more transplants and transfusions can happen.

The difference you’ll make

As a member of our Donor Experience Services directorate, you will analyse data from a number of different sources, bringing this together to deliver evidence-based recommendations. Developing benchmarks and KPIs that will allow us to measure return-on-investment efficiency, you will be focused on identifying how we can increase our donor conversion rates. With the scope to explore your most ambitious ideas, you will be tasked with challenges such as analysing the website user journey and assessing all other digital touchpoints. Willing to hold analytics training sessions with internal and external partners, you will enjoy using raw data in order to define stories and help us develop our business priorities. Whether making recommendations on multi-variant tests that could be part of our long-term analytical strategy, or utilising detailed user research and eye tracking, this is an exceptional chance to develop your professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

The skills you’ll need

  • Significant analytical and technical expertise, with a background in implementing change which has enhanced performance levels within an organisation. This will include a background in validations, pilots and trials.
  • A background in using Google Analytics and tools including Brandwatch, Experian and Google Tag Manager. You will also have an awareness of conversion tools such as Google Optimise, Optimizely, Sitecat and Sessioncam.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into language that is easy to understand for the intended audience.
  • The flexibility to occasionally work away from home, including overnight stays.
  • The ability to manage your own workloads and make effective decisions.

Who we are

NHSBT is made up of an incredible multidisciplinary team who are at the forefront of excellence. Committed to saving and enhancing as many lives as possible, our colleagues work collaboratively to secure the best possible services for the nation’s patients. We therefore embrace change, which makes for a particularly dynamic working environment. In order to keep up with our ambitions, we offer our staff the chance to develop their expertise through our in-house learning academy, and we present our people with clearly defined career paths and plenty of mentorship.

Join our team, and you will find a genuinely friendly working environment in which your opinions will always count. Further enhanced by a competitive benefits package that includes access to a desirable contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave, we are confident that once you have joined us, you won't want to leave us.
