We are looking to recruit good quality High Intensity Therapists with a qualification in EMDR and either CBT or counselling to work as part of our expanding IAPT service across Surrey. Our therapists all have the opportunity to request working part of their week from home, delivering virtual appointments.

You will be enthusiastic, hard-working and have a genuine interest in helping clients.

We anticipate a number of training opportunities this year including:

  • Long Term Conditions
  • Trauma focused CBT
  • Supervisors training

The post-holder will work within the IAPT service providing high intensity interventions. The post-holder will provide eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and either cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) or person-centred counselling for depression (CfD) for clients with a range of moderate to complex problems for which these approaches are demonstrated to be clinically effective.

We would like to hear from you if you are able to demonstrate the following:

  • EMDR accreditation or working towards accreditation with EMDR association
  • CBT: BABCP accreditation. We would also be keen to hear from you if you are working towards Provisional Accreditation as we are able to provide interim posts to support the transition from training to Provisional Accreditation
  • Counsellors: IAPT approved modality qualification (CfD, IPT and/or DIT)
  • Counsellors: BACP, UKCP, NCS and/or ACC accreditation, and/or UKCP, BPS registration as psychotherapist or psychotherapeutic counsellor
  • Evidence of working with people who have presented with mental health difficulties, preferably in primary care.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Able to work to deliver required performance indicators
  • A positive attitude to working for DHC.
